Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Never doing VR. Ever. Again. It is a bloody horrible experience. Do not recommend. Don't even care if you won free gaming experience of a life time. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is.

How has this happened to you twice??

[xp_clea]

Back in 2018 a company called Diskom released...oh goddess was it released in April like this one? Anyways, they released a game called Predator X, and the local game shop in Salem was hosting it. This was a major thing; people all over the country were invited to their local game shops that were hosting it. It started off fine, a normal point-and-shoot, but then we realized quickly that it was not good. People died. Like if you died in the game, you died in life. I think like 26 people died in the 7 or so hours we were in there. We just had to wait and survive until the timer ran out.

Fun times. Oh, and Diskom went under, and that was the end of that.

[xp_catseye]

This experience was "twice"?

[xp_clea]

Yeah, it was different, but both were trapped in VR. I explained to Paige above if you want the whole story.

[xp_catseye]

Hmm.

So what I take from this is that either we should avoid gaming events in April specifically, or gaming events altogether.

This information is noted.

[xp_clea]

I see your logic, and I agree. I think I'll avoid gaming events altogether.

[xp_topaz]

*Again*, Clea? You might be the only person I know unlucky enough to have this happen twice.

[xp_clea]

Should I buy a lottery ticket? Do you think it would have the reverse affect?

[xp_darcy]

Didn't you get caught in the weird DR thing too? Ugh, I still can't play Minecraft or similar games.

Have you been checked for a video game related curse?

[xp_clea]

I should put that in the "to research pile". There might be something about that.

[xp_darcy]

It could also just be the whole, y'know, cursed trip shit. Six of one, I think.

[xp_clea]

I've heard about this curse. Apparently going on any kind of trips as a group results in something bad happening.

[xp_darcy]

Mostly fun trips, I think, or maybe it's that we don't realize extra things are going poorly if we're already primed for a mission.

[xp_strange]

What shame why? What'd I miss?

[xp_clea]

....Stephen Strange. When was the last time you were outside? Showered? Eaten?

[xp_strange]

I ate something yesterday? And I showered this morning. I haven't touched grass in a while, though.

[xp_clea]

Come get me, and we will go out to eat, and I will tell you everything and how much I hate VR games. I am a little drained.
