Happy Beltane! I am out of town in France for the next two days but I left tasty treats in the kitchen for everyone!

New Greenhouse

Tue, 11 Mar 2025 15:42:46 GMT

It has been a long time coming. There has been a second greenhouse that has been built next door to the main greenhouse. This second one will house plants of the magical kind. I am bloody excited about it and can't wait to see baby sprouts soon.

Yule-Tidings!

Fri, 20 Dec 2024 15:07:48 GMT

The Yule Festivies are upon us. Tomorrow is the longest night of the year. There will be some food and goodies in the kitchen. I'll be making homemade mulled wine and gingerbread people for people who want to decorate. No pressure. It's just an excuse to use ingredients from the gardens and have a fun time.

Pumpkin Season

Thu, 17 Oct 2024 14:23:23 GMT

When I planted pumpkins, I didn't expect to get 15! There are now 14 pumpkins on the big kitchen counter. I am carving and placing the last one just outside the greenhouse doors. Enjoy.

Freshly harvested vegetables in the kitchen! The pumpkins are growing in nicely.

I am finding much solace in the greenhouse lately, it is quiet and the plants are growing in beautifully. Buried underneath some old tarps, I found a nice sitting area with a table and a couple of chairs. It is perfect for afternoon tea and some light reading.

There is still plenty of room for additional plants, if anyone wants to give it a go.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who attended last night and those who lasted for the night. I had so much fun and I tried my hardest to keep the magical bits to the minimum and away from the main party area. It means so much to have such support.

A Formal Invite

Thu, 11 Apr 2024 01:20:16 GMT

This is a formal invite to everyone at the mansion. On April 30th to the morning hours of May 1st, I will be hosting the first Beltane Festival (aka Witches Night)! It is a Pagan festival that marks the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice.

The festivities will be held in the forest near the mansion, where there will be food and drink (mead is tradition but there will be other drinks available), music and dancing, and my personal favorite - Bonfires. Everyone is encouraged to wear green and flower crowns! There will be plenty of sitting for everyone. Stay for an hour, stay for the entire night!

Come join in this magical night!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Never doing VR. Ever. Again. It is a bloody horrible experience. Do not recommend. Don't even care if you won free gaming experience of a life time. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is.

Spring Equinox (Ostara) was on March 19th

Fri, 22 Mar 2024 00:01:21 GMT

Spring is here! It came early because of the leap year, but it is here. Time to celebrate the awakening and rebirth of the Earth! Ostara is a pagan goddess who is tied to the spring equinox. So pay your respects to her by doing some planting. Happy new beginnings.

Greenhouse Interest?

Fri, 01 Mar 2024 00:57:15 GMT

I found the greenhouse. It is just as it was described to me. I was thinking of taking over part of it to grow herbs for my spellcasting and research but I was wondering if anyone else would be interested in helping with the rest of it? I thought it would be a good idea to start growing other things that other people might like or interested in. Or if you are interested in herbs and their magical properties I can help with that as well.

If I need to fill out an official form to do this, please let me know.

BACK

We're Back! Steve already made his presence known and we really should have thought about this roomie thing before arriving.

Anyone have a spare room or couch I can crash? I do have a pet, bonus she is a fae cat. I don't have odd hours because of school. But odd hours for other obligations. I don't cook (unless you count takeout) but I can help keep things tidy.

Today I saw Marie-Angie leaving the office in such a hurry that I thought something serious had happened. She just returned to show me her new mouse pad, her reason for leaving in such a hurry. Is this the life of an adult? If so, I am in.
